Project Introduction
In 2024, the construction of the environmentally friendly packaging paper project for food and pharmaceuticals was completed. Currently, we own a 1,700 m² Class 100,000 food packaging clean workshop, 3 coating machines, and fully use the BASF & DoBauCheng BoCarbon PHA emulsion series. This allows full coverage of paper grades from 30 g to 450 g, suitable for various coating packaging applications.
Our features: off‑line coating, flexible and fast delivery, suitable for both small and large batches, especially for rapid R&D breakthroughs in personalized niche markets.
Deep cooperation with BASF & DoBauCheng and the promotion and application of BASF & DoBauCheng BoCarbon PHA emulsion series is Jinyinlian’s strategic goal.

Conclusion: Fast drying speed, saving equipment power consumption; the paper cup machine runs stably and quickly, and the forming effect is better than that of other emulsion coating products, basically reaching the effect of PE extrusion coating.
Technical Extension
Based on the PHA emulsion products, we will continue to research and develop combinations of different coating methods such as anilox roller, air knife, and doctor blade, as well as upgrade coating equipment, to further increase coating speed and the performance of coated paper products.
Quality Inspection – Laboratory
Jinyinlian has physical and chemical laboratories, equipped with professional instruments such as gas chromatographs, GC‑MS, liquid chromatographs, atomic absorption spectrometers, etc., to test the applicability and safety of coated paper products. It is also equipped with paper cup machines, carton machines and other equipment to test the forming performance of coated products, providing technical application services for the end market.
Quality Inspection – BASF & DoBauCheng BoCarbon PHA emulsion series products
Our test conclusion: It can achieve process indicators such as oil resistance Kit 12, water resistance Cobb 30min < 10 g/m², moisture resistance MVTR < 30. Heavy metals, bisphenol A and other indicators all meet food‑grade standards.

Conclusion: PHA coated paper has lower odor; higher folding endurance; better oil resistance; superior printability on the coated surface; compared to EAA coatings (which tend to stick at high temperatures) and ordinary acrylic coatings (which tend to stick when wet), PHA coatings offer better transport safety.

For BASF & DoBauCheng BoCarbon PHA emulsion products, Jinyinlian has completed trials and partial practical applications in many fields such as paper tableware, food packaging, cold drink packaging, heat‑seal bags, waterproof shipping boxes, oil‑proof paper, pharmaceuticals, paper bags, etc. The performance of the coated paper products fully meets the requirements for practical applications.
Future Outlook
In 2026, Jinyinlian plans to actively promote PHA environmentally friendly coated paper products to large domestic and international brand owners, and work with partners to carry out R&D and promotion for various application scenarios.

Current Capacity
The current annual capacity of the Tianjin plant alone is about 20,000 tonnes.
By 2027, the annual capacity will reach 40,000 tonnes.
Future Capacity Layout
With strong support from the group, the PHA bio‑based coated paper project will be planned in stages according to market demand.
